Diamond Crème Brûlée

Crème brûlée is a classic French dessert that is known for its rich, creamy custard and its crispy, caramelized sugar topping. It is a popular dessert for special occasions, but it can also be made easily at home.

This recipe for diamond crème brûlée is a little bit different than the traditional recipe. Instead of making a round custard, this recipe makes a diamond-shaped custard. This gives the dessert a unique look and makes it a little bit more special.

To make the diamond crème brûlée, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 3 cups heavy cream

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 6 ramekins (4 ounces each)

  • 1/2 cup sugar

To make the diamond crème brûlée, follow these instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the heavy cream and vanilla extract until it is just simmering.

  4. Slowly pour the hot cream mixture into the egg yolk mixture, whisking constantly.

  5. Pour the custard mixture into the ramekins.

  6. Place the ramekins in a baking dish and pour enough hot water into the baking dish to come halfway up the sides of the ramekins.

  7. Bake the crème brûlée for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set.

  8. Remove the crème brûlée from the oven and let it cool completely.

  9. Sprinkle the top of each crème brûlée with the 1/2 cup of sugar.

  10. Using a kitchen torch, caramelize the sugar on top of each crème brûlée until it is golden brown.

  11. Serve immediately.

This recipe makes 6 servings.

Here are some tips and tricks for making diamond crème brûlée:

  • Make sure that the egg yolks are well-whipped before adding the sugar. This will help to create a smooth and creamy custard.

  • Do not overcook the custard. The custard should be set but still slightly jiggly in the center when it is done baking.

  • If you do not have a kitchen torch, you can caramelize the sugar on top of the crème brûlée by placing it under the broiler for a few minutes. Just be careful not to overcook the sugar, or it will burn.

  • Serve the crème brûlée immediately after caramelizing the sugar. This will help to keep the sugar from melting.

I hope you enjoy this recipe for diamond crème brûlée! It is a delicious and elegant dessert that is sure to impress your guests.
