Story:

I love piña coladas. There's just something about them that makes me feel like I'm right on a tropical beach, even on a cold winter day. The combination of the sweet pineapple, the creamy coconut, and the refreshing rum is just perfect.

But I also know that piña coladas aren't exactly the healthiest drink. They're high in calories, sugar, and fat. So I decided to create a healthier version that I could enjoy without feeling guilty.

This protein smoothie is just as delicious as a traditional piña colada, but it's much better for you. It's made with frozen pineapple, banana, coconut milk, vanilla protein powder, and vanilla extract. It's packed with protein and nutrients, and it's only 250 calories.

I love making this smoothie for breakfast or as a post-workout snack. It's the perfect way to start my day or refuel my body after a workout.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

Variations:

  • For a tropical twist, add 1/2 cup of frozen mango chunks to the smoothie.

  • For a more decadent smoothie, add 1 tablespoon of chocolate protein powder.

  • For a dairy-free smoothie, use almond milk or soy milk instead of coconut milk.

  • For a vegan smoothie, use a vegan protein powder.

Enjoy!
