Indian Macaroni and Cheese

  11. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Tips:

  • For a spicier dish, add more garam masala and turmeric powder.

  • For a creamier dish, add more milk.

  • For a cheesier dish, add more cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese.

  • To make this dish ahead of time, cook the macaroni and cheese according to the instructions, but do not bake it. Cover the dish and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. When you are ready to bake, remove the dish from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Then, bake according to the instructions.

Variations:

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the chicken and use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.

  • For a vegan version, use vegan cheese and vegan butter.
