I'm a big fan of comfort food. There's nothing like a warm, home-cooked meal to make me feel cozy and content. And one of my all-time favorite comfort foods is fish stick casserole.
This dish is simple to make, but it's packed with flavor. The fish sticks are crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, and the creamy sauce is the perfect complement. I like to top it with a generous amount of cheese, which gets all bubbly and melted in the oven.
I first made fish stick casserole when I was a kid. My mom would make it for us on busy weeknights when she didn't have a lot of time to cook. It was always a hit, and it quickly became one of my favorites.
As I've gotten older, I've made fish stick casserole a few times for my own family. My kids love it just as much as I do. It's a great dish to make when you're short on time, but you still want to serve something delicious.
If you're looking for a new comfort food recipe to try, I highly recommend fish stick casserole. It's easy to make, it's delicious, and it's sure to become a family favorite.
Ingredients:
1 (12-ounce) package frozen fish sticks
1 (10.75-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine fish sticks, cream of chicken soup, milk, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.
Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
Serve immediately.
Tips:
For a more crispy fish stick, you can preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and bake the fish sticks for 10 minutes before adding them to the casserole.
If you don't have bread crumbs, you can use crushed crackers or cereal instead.
You can also add other vegetables to the casserole, such as peas, corn, or carrots.
Serve with a side of your favorite vegetables or a salad.
Enjoy!
