Light Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I love cookies. I love the way they smell when they're baking, the way they taste warm and gooey fresh out of the oven, and the way they make me feel happy and content. But sometimes, I want a cookie that's a little bit healthier. That's why I created this recipe for light chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.

These cookies are made with whole wheat flour, oats, and brown sugar, so they're lower in fat and calories than traditional chocolate chip cookies. But they're still just as delicious! The oats add a bit of chewiness, and the brown sugar gives them a slightly caramelized flavor. And of course, there's plenty of chocolate chips to add sweetness and richness.

These cookies are perfect for a casual weeknight dessert or a special occasion. They're also great for parties and gatherings. They're sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them!

  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

  9. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips:

  • For a chewier cookie, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.

  • For a crispier cookie, bake for a few minutes longer.

  • Feel free to add your favorite mix-ins. Some other good options include:

    • White chocolate chips

    • Coconut chips
