1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Pour sweetened condensed milk over the graham cracker crust.
Sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut, and nuts (if using) over the sweetened condensed milk.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Tips:
For a chewier crust, use 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs.
For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
For a nut-free version, omit the nuts.
Magic cookie bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Story:
I first made magic cookie bars when I was a teenager. I was home alone one day and decided to try my hand at baking. I found a recipe in a cookbook and followed it to the letter. The bars turned out perfectly! They were so delicious that I ate the whole pan in one sitting.
Since then, I've made magic cookie bars countless times. They're always a hit at potlucks, parties, and family gatherings. I love that they're so easy to make and that they always disappear quickly.
If you're looking for a delicious and easy dessert, I highly recommend trying magic cookie bars. They're sure to become a new favorite!
Variations:
For a more tropical flavor, use shredded coconut and macadamia nuts instead of the regular coconut and nuts.
For a more decadent flavor, add a layer of peanut butter chips to the top of the bars before baking.
For a healthier version, use whole wheat graham crackers and reduced-fat chocolate chips.
No matter how you make them, magic cookie bars are sure to be a hit!
